Also, I love how you made it genuinely look like him, yet still maintained your own style. That in itself takes real skill as well. Great job on this!
I was thinking of drawing him again too...

Well, I think you did a great job! I admire the fact that you admitted that you used reference pictures. Many people like to lie about that and act all high and mighty.
You also stuck very true to your style. Honestly, I would have been quite confused if I saw a photorealistic drawing of Jack sparrow in your gallery. Why? Because it would lack that lovely colorful style of yours that we all love!
My favorite part of this drawing are the pretty beads! I love how they sparkle very nicely. The hair is also well done. It's simple, but has this neat texture to it that helps to identify the fact that that's hair.
The only thing I don't like are the eyebrows. They look kind of flat compared to the rest of the piece.
I don't see why the bandanna annoys you! I think it looks cool. On the plus side, the red color really suits the nice brown hair.
Heheh, well, c'ya! Gotta clean my room now >.>

brilliant work, looks just like him
More than anything, I love the shading of the face and the boldness of the eyes. They really stand out and contrast quite well. It's what my own are drawn too.
I feel I also must praise you on the shading of the beads and the texture of the hair. Especially the braided look with his beard, since there are no lines to differentiate anything, just color. (Which we all love, the color) Very nice job.
